Focus on... JAILBREAK

The main video format for SOLITARY SIXTY at launch is called JAILBREAK - here's a little more information about what to expect...

WHO IS TAKING PART?

We've found some great people to take part from the worlds of modelling, performing arts, sport and social media.

All challengers on the show believe that they can escape their 60-minute imprisonment inside the cell. They also know they will win a cash prize if they do. But it is not going to be easy!

WHAT HAPPENS IN AN EPISODE?

Actually, an edition of JAILBREAK is usually split into 2 episodes! That's because if an inmate fails to escape in the Challenge part, they face a second hour imprisoned in their Punishment episode.

So in the first week, you will see the Challenge; the following week, the Punishment.

TELL US ABOUT A CHALLENGE VIDEO

The challenger is arrested at the start. They are given their inmate number and have their mugshots taken.

After they have changed into their prisoner uniform, they are sent to the cell.

Their wrists and ankles are chained.

Then the door is closed. 4 locks are added to secure the inmate inside.

After that, we are ready for the challenge to begin! The inmate receives their first puzzle as the timer begins. They can see and hear the countdown.

The prisoner must first remove all of the chains. Then the locks on the door must be released!

To do this, they solve puzzles to release keys to their restraints and find combinations to the padlocks on the door.

If they are still inside the cell when time runs out, the guard turns the key in the main door lock: they have failed and they remain under arrest! They win nothing. And their sentence is doubled.

The guard opens the hatch to cuff the prisoner. Leg irons are put on too, so that they cannot try to escape!

They are released from the cell briefly as the it will need to be prepared for their punishment hour...

SO TELL US ABOUT THE PUNISHMENT VIDEO

The prisoner returns to the cell in their handcuffs and leg irons.

The guard will have also prepared some additional restraints or apparatus to make the inmate's second hour even less pleasant than the first hour. These will vary for each prisoner so they never know quite what to expect!

The inmate is then left totally alone, in solitary confinement, for 60 more minutes.

They have no chance of escape - no matter how hard they may try!

Once their hour is completed, the sentence is over. They are set free.

HOW ARE THE VIDEOS PRESENTED?

In the main video, after the Challenge introduction section showing arrest and placement in cell, you will see the full hour from different cameras as if watching the cell from different CCTV cameras. The Punishment video uses the same CCTV presentation.

There are also full-screen, unedited single-feed videos available too for those who like to watch from a particular angle!
